PHILOSOPHY

Drawing on training and experience in Gestalt therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, trancework, and the expressive arts, I consider therapy as a collaboration between the client and myself. I strongly believe that everyone possesses strengths, resources, resilience and gifts. These qualities must be recognized, accessed and cultivated in order to live in a happy and fulfilled manner.

We grow from taking risks and stepping outside our comfort zones. Yet we must first learn to recognize and set boundaries, and in so doing, develop balance in all aspects of our lives.

The process of growth is initiated by using self-awareness to recognize the state of mind from which we begin. Each person's path is unique in therapy. One size does not fit all. My therapeutic process consists of two strands, which together, wind into a braid of wholeness. The first is the cultivation of authentic self-empowerment, self-awareness, and self-valuing. The second is learning to communicate in a contactful, assertive , and empathic manner
